Cards wrap up busy week

Another rainy weather day canceled almost every event in the area other than golf on Thursday as the Alexandria boys golf team marched on at a meet in St.

Lukas Bigger and Jared Lind both shot 83s and Will Odland and Dan Hennessey finished at 85.

Dan started out with a quint bogey and was seven over very early in his round but played much better on the rest of the holes.” Senior Sam Jenson rounded out the Alexandria lineup with an 87.

Larson said his round was a tale of two nines as Jenson finished with nine pars but also had six double bogeys.

The Cardinals also hosted a small home invite at the Miltona Golf Course on Saturday as the Alexandria Black team took fifth with a 323.

The Alexandria Red team finished fourth at the five-team event with a 352.

Blake Bloedorn shot an 86, Grant Zwilling an 88 and Clayton Luedeke rounded out the Black team with a 110.

“Although this is a small tournament, amount of team wise, it is a great chance for some players who have never played in an 18-hole event to get the experience,” Larson said.

ALEXANDRIA Johnson 77; Bigger 83; Lind 83; Odland 85; Hennessey 85; Jenson 87
