Chris Sale to throw bullpen for White Sox

The left-hander, acquired in an offseason trade with the Dodgers for second baseman Howie Kendrick, is competing for a spot in the rotation, but has struggled so far this spring.

Ryan Vogelsong starts for San Francisco against Cleveland, and fellow right-hander Matt Cain will pitch in a minor league game.

Vogelsong was 8-13 with a 4.00 ERA in 32 starts for the World Series champions last year, and Cain is coming back from elbow surgery.
