Could Alex Gordon, any Kansas City Royals be on Sox 2016 roster?

Kansas City Royals left fielder Alex Gordon has a $12.5 million player option for 2016 and it should be interesting to see if he exercises it.

The Red Sox might have some interest in Gordon this offseason if he declines his option to become a free agent.

President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said the Red Sox will be in the market for a fourth outfielder to complement Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr.

Royals 35-year-old right-handed reliever Ryan Madson is a pending free agent.

He posted a 2.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 20 holds, three saves and two blown saves in 68 games (63 1/3 innings) this year.

He was the winning pitcher in Game 1 of the World Series, a game that lasted 14 innings.

He came back to start Game 4 last night, hurling 4 innings and allowing two runs, both earned, on two hits and one walk while striking out three.

Wade Davis has been tremendous the past two years as a reliever for the Royals.

He recorded 17 saves this year, and he has four saves this postseason.

The Royals have an $8 million team option for 2016 and a $10 million team option for 2017.
