Miami Heat could trade out Mario Chalmers and Luol Deng to trim down franchise’s luxury tax bill

The Miami Heat are reportedly considering to trade out the point guard Mario Chalmers to avoid luxury tax bill, but the two-time NBA champion veteran claimed that he has not heard any trade plans from franchise higher ups.

The 29-year-old Mario Chalmers, who has spent his entire NBA professional basketball career for seven straight seasons in Miami Heat since he was selected 34th overall in NBA Draft 2008, will be playing in the final season of his contract that will mark his 8th year with the team and in NBA.

Chalmers started for the team in all regular-season games from the 2011-12 season to 2013-14 season of NBA, he was moved to the bench after the Miami traded for Goran Dragic.
