Reggie Ragland on Atlanta Falcons’ radar

During a pre-draft press conference on Thursday, Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said the current state of the NFL makes pass-rushers and cornerbacks always worthy of consideration at draft time.

So the favorite in the national mock drafts to go to the Falcons with the 17th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night is Alabama inside linebacker Reggie Ragland, who is not a cornerback or a pass-rusher.

Paul Worrilow, Atlanta’s current middle linebacker and leading tackler last season, is a scrappy player who’s been a three-year starter for the Falcons after making the team as an undrafted rookie from Delaware.

That’s why Ohio State outside linebacker Darron Lee and Georgia outside linebacker Leonard Floyd appear to be on the Falcons’ radar in addition to Ragland.
