Sports Tennis team reflects on first loss of season

After dropping their first dual match of the season, the Georgia men’s tennis team looks to redeem itself this weekend against rival Georgia Tech.

4 Ohio State in Columbus, where the Buckeyes haven’t lost in 156 matches.

Georgia said their loss to the Buckeyes stemmed more from lack of experience than lack of talent.


Head coach Manuel Diaz said Ohio State “basically performed better than we did”, but is ready to move ahead and improve.

“I thought we competed well, it wasn’t so much about our weaknesses”, Diaz said, “I thought that the experience of the Ohio State team shone through.

Pasha is looking forward to playing Ohio State again in Seattle.

“Playing Ohio State helped us prepare and playing Georgia Tech is going to help us.
