St. Louis soccer heritage

Louis may not have a Major League Soccer team, or produce as many national team players as it once did, but the city’s legacy lives on in the success the sport has today, U.S.

Before flying out, he met with fans, as well as with Jim Kavanaugh and Dave Peacock, two of the members of the group trying to bring an MLS team to St.

Louis University product now playing in England with Fulham, was back on his radar for national team consideration as the team closes in on two pivotal World Cup qualifying matches, against Honduras on March 24 in San Jose and at Panama on March 28.

The Americans lost their first two matches in this round of qualifying, to Mexico and Costa Rica, leading to the firing of Jurgen Klinsmann and the hiring of Arena, who had coached the U.S.

Ream has largely been on the periphery of the national team picture in recent years, playing just one game for the United States last season.

Arena was in England last week to watch Ream play in an FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arena’s goal, the goal he was hired for, is to get the United States to the World Cup, which they haven’t missed since 1986.

Though the Americans are sixth out of six teams in their qualifying group, with the top three qualifying automatically and the fourth-place team going to a playoff for a spot, they have eight matches to play and two of their three toughest games out of the way.

We’re trying to analyze a little from the past, not a whole lot, we’re looking to move forward and build our team in the right way and we want to have a team that steps on the field and be successful.”
