OC soccer takes 4-0 victory over OHS
The Vikings discovered enough vulnerability in the Opelousas High defense to capture a 4-0 victory in a game between crosstown rival boys’ soccer teams.
OC opened the season with a 2-0 loss to OHS and Vikings’ boys’ soccer coach Matt Hebert said his team was eager to correct some of the deficiencies uncovered in that loss.
In the first couple of minutes, the Vikings took advantage of the Tigers’ defensive gaps, attacked OHS goalkeeper Ke’Andre Jones and raced to a 2-0 lead off goals by David Labbe and Brian Carey.
OHS boys’ soccer coach Randy Houser said his team faced a different Opelousas High squad on Monday.
