Popular North Port golf course shuts its doors due to financial problems

According to the owners of the club, Charlotte Golf Partners, they were unable to negotiate an extension on its loan with the current lender.

The posting also says a new replica golf course on the property that’s been in the works for a decade and has millions invested into it, will not happen.

As many are aware; we have a pending application with the City of North Port which would enable us to rebuild the project to include a new replica course.

While millions of dollars have been spent to procure theses rights and carry the golf course financially since 2007, we have not been able to negotiate an extension with our current lender and have simply run out of time, even though Charlotte Golf Partners has not missed ONE payment since the loan was modified in March of 2010.
