Cowboy tennis dominates Wolfpack

On court three, Cowboys Temur Ismailov/Lucas Gerch made quick work of North Carolina State duo Thomas Weigel/Michael Ogden, 6-2, to put the Pokes one win away from the point.

In singles, Cowboy Tristan Meraut kept the momentum going with a straight-set victory over NC State’s Shoti Meparidze, 6-3, 6-2, respectively.

Needing one point to clinch the match, the Pokes looked to the All-American Cash who would continue his spring success with a dominant win over NC State’s Norenius, 6-4, 6-3, to secure the Oklahoma State victory.

Cowboy Ismailov would propel the lead to 5-0 with another straight-set victory on court one to give him his second consecutive singles win of the season.

Trailing early in the third set, Mendoza won the final four games to take the set and his match, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, to raise the Cowboy lead to 6-0.
