A Return Back on Track

So, was this the sign of champions or the sign of deeper issues for Manchester City? But, not for the first time this season, City produced a generally unconvincing display borne of problems with their shape and direction.

In terms of their defensive shape, City weren’t flat but uneven.  applauds the travelling fans after Manchester City’s 2-1 win at Fulham And perhaps that’s the biggest point City can take out of the game, other than the three for the win that takes them back on track.

One of the curious aspects of last season was that, as excellent as City often were for the first few months, they rarely won games in which they weren’t ahead early on.

And, as listless as City were on Saturday, they had evidently learned enough to win the game.
