Atlanta United have acquired Andrew Gutman from Celtic and have loaned the fullback to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for a 2024 third-round SuperDraft selection, the clubs announced Tuesday.

Gutman was on loan from FC Cincinnati from the summer of 2019 through the 2020 season.

When the loan ended, he returned to Celtic and his MLS rights were selected No. 1 overall in the Re-Entry Draft by Atlanta United, who acquired the top spot from Cincinnati for $75,000 GAM.

Prior to turning professional, Gutman was a four-year standout at Indiana University, with 20 goals and 17 assists in 90 appearances.
