It was hoped Tiger Woods would be back for this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, but the host has weighed in on why he is not ready.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill starts on Thursday, but it feels a little wrong with one of the game’s biggest stars not in attendence – and the tournament host agrees.

During Palmer’s annual press conference ahead of the event, he told the media that Tiger Woods needs to regain his confidence before rejoining the PGA Tour.

“He said, ‘Arnold, I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than be there to play,’ and he explained that he didn’t feel like his game was ready.
