Club displays interest in Curtis Granderson
The New York Yankees have already offered outfielder Curtis Granderson a qualifying offer, but the New York Mets have still shown interest in the veteran.
Offering him a one-year deal hoping that he would take it just to restore his value in what hopes to be a comeback season would allow the Yankees to keep some pop in their lineup.
While the top outfielders who will also be available this offseason are considered to be Jacoby Ellsbury and Shin-Soo Choo along with possibly Carlos Beltran despite his age, Granderson can be had at a bargain if he does indeed have a comeback of a 2014 season.
I still think Granderson has something to offer, but with the Yankees being a team in transition I think they should look for other players preferably ones who are younger who have yet to reach their potential.
