Toronto FC are being linked to River Plate forward Santos Borre, but they’re not alone.

The 25-year-old Colombian international is reportedly the main target for Brazilian powerhouse Palmeiras, with Toronto FC also expressing interest, according to goal.com reporter Bruno Andrade.

On the surface, it wouldn’t seem likely that Toronto FC would be shopping for a high-profile forward with Jozy Altidore and Ayo Akinola leading the attack.

Borre, whose contract expires in June, has scored 43 goals in 118 matches across all competitions for River Plate.
