Eagles WR Agholor accused of sexual assault
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Nelson Agholor is under investigation after a female dancer accused him of sexually assaulting her at a Philadelphia strip club, according to published reports.
Police didn’t name Agholor as the suspect during a news conference on Friday but released a statement saying the allegation was “regarding a sexual assault and a member of the Philadelphia Eagles organization.” He was Philadelphia’s first-round draft pick in 2015 out of USC and had 23 receptions for 283 yards last season.
–Eagles linebacker Ty Powell is retiring from the NFL at age 28, multiple media outlets reported.
Before joining the Eagles, Powell spent two seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
–Hall of Fame quarterback and Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly added some pressure on Rex Ryan, predicting the team must make the playoffs this season or the second-year head coach could be out of a job.
–The Pittsburgh Steelers signed third-round defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to a four-year rookie deal.
The Steelers have now signed each of their seven picks from the 2016 NFL Draft.
