Four Sports You May Want To Attend for the First Time
Sport is not only a fantastic way to escape from life’s daily grimes, it is also great chance to have an affordable day out with your family or friends where you can share some brilliant action in your chosen event.
Here are four sports you may never have watched before but you should give a chance if the opportunity arises for you.
Cricket

Cricket is prominently played in the Indian sub-continent, Australasia, British Isles, southern Africa and West Indies; however, the sport is spreading around the world as the popularity continues to grow. There are many similarities to baseball, but try telling that to die-hard cricket fans who hate the suggestion that the two sports are closely related. Once you understand the rules and scoring system in cricket, it is a sport you will love to enjoy under the sun when it is often played.
Darts
It is hard to believe the journey darts has had as a spectator sport. The game, which is often played in bars and pubs across the world, now takes place at the highest level in front of huge audiences in big indoor arenas, including the Alexandra Palace in London, which held the World Championship last year. The atmosphere at the darts will blow you away as the crowd really get into the action and know how to have a good time. Walk on music and players who play the role as the heroes and villains add to the entertainment, while it is a sport you can take your whole family along and they will love it.
Greyhounds
Greyhound racing mainly takes place in the UK and Australia so if you are ever holiday in those nations, look to visit one of their many tracks. Those who attend the meetings tend to enjoy a punt on the racing. There is greyhound betting available at William Hill, therefore you can place your bets before you arrive or during the meeting to add to the excitement.

Golf is popular all over the world and has numerous successful men’s and women’s tours. One of the big advantages of watching golf live at the event is that it is great for fitness as it involves a lot of walking throughout the day if you are prepared to navigate around the 18 holes. The four Major Championships in the sport are the biggest tournaments on the calendar and if you are lucky to attend one of those, you will see the best players from around the world in action. The Open Championship was recently played in Scotland and was won by Francesco Molinari in what proved to be an excellent tournament. There is also the bi-annual team competition which is the Ryder Cup where the USA faces off against Europe. That is a three-day event and involves singles and doubles action on the course.
