Khalid Kareem From Notre Dame Meets With 49ers.
Notre Dame defensive end Khalid Kareem, who underwent shoulder surgery in January, did not participate in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Kareem registered 46 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in 13 games as a senior.
He sustained a torn labrum in his left shoulder in the ninth game of the season.
Kareem said he believes his best fit in the NFL is playing the wide-nine, lining up outside the offensive tackle.
The 49ers deployed the wide-nine alignment last season under defensive line coach Kris Kocurek.
