Ko says “going to play my game”
Vancouver Island will be on the edge of their seats this week, as Victoria’s Naomi Ko, a member of the Royal Colwood Golf Club gets ready to tee it up at the 2016 U.S.
As this is the biggest golf tournament Ko has played in during her young golf career, the 18 year old is fresh off of playing in her first LPGA Tour event last week in Portland, Oregon at the Cambria Portland Classic.
As fellow Canadian Brooke Henderson took center stage defending her title there, Ko played well enough to make the cut.
As the start of the tournament looms, Ko is excited about the opportunity to play among the world’s best on one of the biggest stages in women’s golf.
With a busy golf schedule leading up to this week, Ko has just been taking it one day at a time.
During Monday’s round she played with one of her golfing idols Ai Miyazato from Japan, while pairing up with fellow Canadians Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp on Tuesday.
