Matchup Plays and Value Picks
There are some interesting plays out there that may not necessarily be on most owners’ radar, so with that in mind let’s take a closer look at a few sleeper and matchup-based prospects for tonight’s games.
Khris Middleton, SF/PF, Milwaukee Bucks: Middleton hasn’t played since Monday, so he’s been off the proverbial radar for a while. Middleton and the gang will be in Brooklyn tonight for a good matchup.
Gerald Green, SG/SF, Phoenix Suns: Green is streaking right now, and while he’s hot he makes a nice addition to your roster. Here’s what he’s done in his last three outings: a combined 63 points, 16 made 3-pointers, 10 rebounds. Try him out tonight on the road against Golden State in what should be a high-scoring game.
Jodie Meeks, SG, Los Angeles Lakers: Meeks has been a solid contributor since Kobe’s departure, and he’s probably the biggest fantasy beneficiary of that situation. In his last outing against the Heat, he posted four made 3-pointers, 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Meeks should be good for a balanced stat sheet tonight in a cushy matchup on the road against the Jazz.
Mirza Teletovic, SF/PF, Brooklyn Nets: Let’s head back to the Nets-Bucks matchup tonight and take a look at Teletovic. The bad news here is that he’s got a trio of tough road matchups looming after the Bucks game.
Reggie Jackson, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder: Jackson certainly was impressive in the Christmas game in New York. He’s scored at least 18 in three of his last four and has endeared himself to the coaching staff enough to earn himself plenty of opportunities.
