Mills continues fine form as Spurs go 4-0

The Australian point guard came off the bench in the Spurs’ 106-99 win over the Miami Heat, finishing with 18 points in just 25 minutes of action.

Mills has now scored 18 points in two consecutive games, having bettered 18 points just three times throughout the entirety of the 2015-16 season.

Through four games, Mills is averaging 13.3 points and 2.8 assists per game, while shooting an impressive 59 percent from beyond the three-point line; his best start to a season, in his eight year career in the NBA.

With the Thunder entering the season without Kevin Durant, Westbrook has stepped up, averaging 38.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 11.7 assists over his team’s first three games of the regular season.

In the same game, Joe Ingles posted eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists, hitting two of his three three-point attempts.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 21 points for the Pistons, who scored seven straight points in the final minute of the third quarter to build a 10-point lead.

Drummond reached 20 rebounds for a second consecutive game, and this was his 10th career game with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds.

Russell Westbrook scored 33 points as part of another triple-double to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Lakers 113-96 on Sunday night to remain unbeaten.

He ended the game with season averages of 38.7 points, 12.3 rebounds and 11.7 assists.

Gordon had 14 points, Anderson had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Nene had 11 points.
