Red Sox will get lucky, miss Astros’ aces

The teams close the regular season against each with four games at Fenway, and would anyone really be shocked if they met again soon after? So, the Red Sox, facing an actual major league team after four with the Phillies, will face Mike Fiers (4-2 with a 4.29 RBI and 18 homers allowed, second most in the majors), David Paulino (10 earned runs, 19 hits in 13 2/3 innings in two starts) and Joe Musgrove (4-5, 4.81 ERA, nine homers allowed in 58 innings).

Houston is 11-2 in his games, making the Astros 21-3 in games started by their aces.

Speaking of McCullers, Rangers manager Jeff Banister, on a Dallas radio station, talked about the in-state rivalry by saying, “All I know is they get to put Houston on their chest, we get to put Texas on ours.” Hopefully no one will have “He Hate Me” on the back of his jersey (remember the XFL?), but MLB and its Players Association got together and decided to allow players to wear their nicknames on their backs and also wear colorful gear and have a patch of dedication on their shirts in an Aug.

But Charlie, we look after Charlie, he’s one of our kids that we look after.

He doesn’t think he has it made, he knows how tough it’s going to be next season because he has to repeat and Charlie will be ready.” You know, looking for more time to improve, taking advantage of these few weeks off to go out and work on my own and try to bring everything I have to this team.” So it’s one of those things where the teams that can go out and take advantage of these times and really mold together are usually the teams that come out and have good starts to their seasons, so that’s what I’m trying to do personally.” Finally, former UNHer Kevin Dean, the newest member of the Boston Bruins coaching staff, says, “They’ve obviously got a great core in Boston and I think those two things together make it a really exciting place to have the opportunity to come coach.”
