Revis Has Others Worried
Jets coach Rex Ryan won’t officially end cornerback Darrelle Revis’ season for at least another week, not until the perennial Pro Bowler has surgery to repair the torn ACL that he suffered last week against the Dolphins.
Then again, Revis is the Jets’ best player and, without him, what many people figured for an 8-8 team suddenly becomes much less than that.
A personnel executive for a rival team was asked by NFL.com’s Albert Breer this week if losing Revis is akin to losing a franchise quarterback.
Luckily, Antonio Cromartie, the guy who plays opposite Revis, has proclaimed that he’s now the league’s best cornerback.
