Seven Lady Jackets voted to all-district soccer teams

Cleburne freshman Dani Murguia (6) was voted as the District 8-5A midfield player of the year in all-district voting by league coaches.

In what was a competitive district in 8-5A girls soccer this season, the all-district awards and teams were spread across several teams evenly with the top four teams leading the way in total selections.

Aledo, Joshua, Burleson Centennial and Cleburne the four playoff teams out of District 8-5A led the way in all-district voting by the league coaches.

Centennial junior Hanna Mattinson received the offensive player of the year while Aledo junior Courtney McMillan was named defensive player of the year.

Cleburne freshman Dani Murguia was voted as the midfield player of the year.

Along with Murguia, the Lady Jackets placed three players on the first team and three players on the second team.
