Manchester united signed a contract for shirts sponsorship with renowned company of American Cars Chevrolet. In 2013 Manchester United signed a 7 year contract with Chevrolet for shirt sponsorship with worth £53 million.That’s one of the biggest contract in sports history so far. And Wenger’s club Arsenal signed a one year contract with Dubai based Airlines Emirates that includes the rights for naming of stadium. Another Premier League club Chelsea signed a £40 million contract for an year with Yokohama, a Tyre manufacturer company based in Japan.

There also one another big shirts sponsor in Premier League by the name Mansion. Mansion Group is operating several brands like Casino.com, Club777, Mansion Casino and Slots Heaven.

All such kind of big deals indicates that how remunerative Premier League clubs has become. It’s not generating huge money only for clubs but also for sponsors as well.

So if we make a comparison of Premier League clubs shirts sponsorship with other leagues like European Leagues or German Bundesliga’s than there would a difference of more than half. If we combine all 20 Premiere League clubs shirts sponsorship than it will get a £220million for just an year. And in case of German Bundesliga it will be £101 million pounds for just 18 clubs.

If we talk about European Leagues than there also a big rise in the shirt sponsorship for European league clubs by foreign investors. According to the latest survey the sponsorship has been increased by 20% more for 6 top leagues across Europe. And in England and Spain, it has been increased by 30% since last season.In total the revenue generated by just 6 top clubs in European League €687 million for year 2015 and 2016, while in year 2013-2014 it was €570 million. So we can say there is an increase of 20% revenue just via shirt sponsorship. The biggest raise in the income via shirt sponsorship we can see in English Premier League that is 36% than the last season. Manchester United deal with Chevrolet worth £53 million was one of the biggest deal so far for Premier League clubs.
