Tiger Soccer holds its own against East Central
Battling with everything they could put on the field and holding one of the top 5A soccer teams in the state to a 1-0 lead through the first half, Coweta Tigers definitely made a statement about improvements last week especially on the defensive end of the field.
East Central scored four goals in the second half for a 5-1 win, three of those coming in the last 20 minutes when the Tiger defense was wearing down.
East Central took a 1-0 lead with 16:47 left in the first half, after a classic defensive for well over half the first period.
Opening the second half, the Cardinals scored with 28:57 on the clock to go up 2-0, but Coweta junior forward Cameron Eaves answered quickly at the 26:38 mark with a goal off the left side.
Coweta was led by junior Cameron Eaves with four goals, followed by brother Steven Eaves who scored two of the goals.
