Yeager honored by tennis induction

Although he rarely plays competitive tennis now, Jason Yeager enjoys being part of the game and keeping tabs on the current generation of stars.

Yeager will be part of a select generation of standouts next month, when he officially gains entry into the Cincinnati Tennis Hall of Fame.

The class will be inducted on Center Court at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, during the Western & Southern Open’s Opening Night.

He was the last Northern Kentucky player to win a boys state title until Covington Catholic’s Jimmy Roebker won in 2009 and 2010, followed by current Colonel Austin Hussey in 2013.

He took home two singles titles, one doubles title and one mixed doubles title at the Thomas E.

Price Cincinnati Metropolitan Tennis Championships, was named one of Cincinnati’s Top 100 Players, and named Player of the Year by the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Association on multiple occasions.
