Banck has had incredible tennis journey

Bobby Banck has been a long-time friend and was the former tennis coach of Grand Island native Jimmy Arias, who ranked as high as No.

Banck went on to reach a world ranking between 200-250 over a three-year pro career.

Shortly after that his dad took Banck to the Four Season Tennis Club.

Soon after, he started taking private lessons from Joe DiCarlo, a legendary tennis pro in the Buffalo area whom Banck gives credit for most of the success in his career.

Never in area tennis history had two players showed as much talent as Arias and Banck possessed.

After Banck’s success he traveled with Arias and his dad to other tournaments.

Word traveled throughout collegiate circles about Banck, and he was awarded a full tennis scholarship to the University of Arkansas, one of the nation’s top-five tennis universities.

“After traveling throughout the world for three years with good results I had to make a tough but necessary decision,” Banck said.

Shortly after, Banck stopped traveling and started practicing with Arias.

Aclin remembered Banck’s outstanding tennis career at the University of Arkansas, his success on the men’s pro tour, and his reputation as one of the best teaching pros in the country.
