Daniil Medvedev Keeping The Points Coming In.

Yet, as he’s shown time and time again in recent months, Medvedev kept his head down under pressure, saving five set points en route to battling past Vasek Pospisil, 7-6 (7), 7-5.

Medvedev trailed 5-3 in the opening set and after breaking back, was soon facing a 0-40 defiicit.

Medvedev won nine of the first 10 points to open the second set, but was unable to consolidate his break advantage at 2-0.

The qualifier began to free back up on the baseline and held four break points at 3-3.
