John Jay tennis teams have new home and, finally, fans

CROSS RIVER Fox Valley Town Park was the John Jay’s varsity tennis teams’ home for practice and games.

The school’s Booster Club contributed $50,000, the United States Tennis Association $30,000 and the USTA’s Eastern Tennis Association $7,500.

Tennis is now being introduced in the district’s elementary school physical education program and there are plans to create a middle school modified team to play other schools.
