Masahiro Tanaka helps Yankees overcome Blue Jays again

Masahiro Tanaka allowed just five hits for his first complete game in more than a year, leading the New York Yankees to a 4-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

Boston’s Jackie Bradley Jr hit two homers and three doubles to drive in seven runs as the Red Sox battered Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners 22-10.

In Houston, Victor Martinez hit a tiebreaking RBI double in a three-run 11th inning as the Detroit Tigers outlasted the Houston Astros 4-2.

The Cincinnati Twins downed the Cleveland Indians 4-1 after Tyler Duffey took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning of his second big league game, while Baltimore slugger Chris Davis hit two home runs, the second a tiebreaking shot with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning off switch-pitcher Pat Venditte, to lift the Orioles over the Oakland Athletics 4-3.
