A sellout crowd of 51,954 packed into Cape Town Stadium — the biggest crowd ever on record for a tennis match — as Federer emerged with the 6-4 3-6 6-3 victory.

But it was after the match when Federer revealed the Spaniard superstar had opened up to him about the time he broke down in tears.
