SilverRock Golf Resort

Work at the SilverRock Golf Resort course to move a water canal and improve five holes is expected to cost the city nearly $900,000 more than originally planned.

Most of that cost overrun $567,000 will be used to improve five holes to allow the course to retain its Arnold Palmer Golf Course branding.

The gravity-fed canal cuts through the back nine holes of the golf course.

The most dramatic change to the SilverRock course will be made to the 15th hole, considered challenging by even the most skilled golfers.

Currently, the second shot landing area has the canal on the left, a large native plant area on the right and four bunkers straight ahead.
