Tony Romo Says He’s Ready For A Challenge.

He will tee off in the 58th Northeast Amateur at Wannamoisett Country Club, one of the premier amateur events in the country that has featured many former and current PGA Tour players before they hit it big.

Romo said Notah Begay, who won the event in 1995 and went on to win four times on the PGA Tour, helped arrange the invitation through his friendship with tournament chairman Ben Tuthill.

Its a great tournament, obviously theres been a million great players who played in this and this tournament so I feel like, you want to play good golf, you want to play against some of the best players in the country, and at the amateur level this is obviously that, Romo said.
