Blue Jays’ John Gibbons says series ‘is far from over’

The Toronto Blue Jays are rolling through the postseason with three wins in three games.

But manager John Gibbons doesn’t want his team to get complacent after jumping to a 2-0 lead in the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers.

Sunday’s Game 3 will be the first game in Toronto since the infamous beer can toss against the Orioles in the wild card game.

There’s no place for that,” Gibbons said referring to the beer can incident.

The crowds, well, this is one of the more loud, raucous crowds I’ve seen in baseball.

Gibbons toyed with placing Sanchez back in the bullpen to manage his reps.

That plan was derailed when Gibbons needed him to start down the stretch.

“I think we were all set that he was going to eventually end up in the bullpen,” Gibbons said of Sanchez.

Sanchez would become a Toronto favorite if he helped the Blue Jays clinch the series Sunday at home.
