Soccer Team Continues to Impress

The first half was hard-fought for both teams as they tried to take an early lead, but none of the attempted 14 shots found their way to the back of the net.

After a total 110 minutes of play, neither the Tigers nor USF were able to score, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Both of the teams now have records of 6-0-1, and the Tigers finished the nonconference part of their season undefeated.

It was a defensive half, with only a total of six shots being taken by the two teams, and only three of those on goal.

The Tigers stayed hot early in the second half, with Austin Burnikel scoring in the 56th minute off of a pass from Oliver Shannon.

The Tigers led 3-0, and the defense did not give Furman a chance to come back, allowing only seven shots all game, with only two on goal.
